Early Christmas Surprise

Two weeks ago we found out we are expecting baby #2. We told Kennedy and her only concern was did she have to share her room and we told her no so she was excited after that answer. I am due the first of August/end of July. Kennedy has been telling everyone she is going to be a big sister and so proud about it.

Halloween 2012

This year I took Kennedy with some friends to New Orleans to Boo at the Zoo. We had lots of fun even though it was cold. In New Orleans they do their Trick or Treat at night. They a section of people that were dressed as Star Wars. Kennedy loved take her picture with all the characters, especially the storm troppers.Kennedy was Princess Jasmine this year and her friend Rylin was Minnie Mouse.

It's Game Time!!

This Saturday was LSU Tigers first game of the season. Kennedy woke up this morning and told today I get to wear LSU colors today jumping up and down. The tigers played the University of North Texas & won. Geaux Tigers!!!

First Day of Kindergarten

Kennedy's first day of kindergarten was last Thursday. she enjoy's school to an extend because map time is gone now when you hit kindergarten. She has her melt downs pretty much every afternoon now but we are making progressive. Hopefully this will pass soon and she will adjust to no nap. She is in Ms. Butler's class this year and has 2 of her classmates with her from last year. Of course my little social bug knew more in her class from last year and ended up knowing half her class. The second day of school they were able to bring their favorite stuff animal so she brought BB to meet and greet her class. Her friend Amaile is in her class again this year.

Pippi Longstocking

Last Thursday I took Kennedy to see Pippi Longstocking performance by Playmakers. She absolutely loved it. We went with her friend Elle I found the DVD of the movie at Barnes & Noble this weekend so needless to say we have watched Pippi over & over.

T-Ball

Kennedy played T-ball this spring and enjoyed it as much as flying to the moon. She acted like she liked it but when you would ask her how the game went her remark every time was when is this going to be over with.
She was on the Dirt Tiger's team, which the kids named themselves. I think she will be my full blooded dancing as I was and stay very girly and not participate in outdoor sports.

Easter Day

We had a low key Easter this year. Kennedy got movies, candy and bubbles from the Easter Bunny. We spent Saturday with Burke's family and then on Sunday we went to my side of the family.

After the Easter Egg Hunt we headed to Honey & Paw-Paw's to dye eggs with G. It was all about seeing who could make the prettiest egg.

Dr. Seuss Dress Up Day

Last Thursday at Kennedy's school they had Dr. Seuss dress up day for positive behavior reward. She dressed as Thing 1.

Snow mobile project

Last week Kennedy had a project at school to learn about transportation. Her transportation to learn about was a snow mobile. My brother got creative and made a snow mobile out of a box with all the bells a whistles. Kennedy was excited to take it to school & show all of her classmates.

Mardi Gras 2012

Sunday we headed to Port Allen for the Krewe of Good Friends parade. Kennedy enjoyed the parade a lot this year. As you can see her attire was appropriate for the holiday. Saturday it rained all day long and was at times strong thunderstorms so we were waiting to see if we were going to be able to go to the parade on Sunday. It was beautiful weather for the parade and to to cold. Kennedy got a lot of beads and throws from the parade.

Rain Rain Go Away

Today it has rained all day since we woke up. I are hoping it stops raining for the Port Allen Mardi Gras parade. We had pj day at the house because we stayed inside all day. Kennedy played dress up.

Weekend

This weekend we stayed home since the weather was rainy. Kennedy played dress up all day Saturday and Sunday. We got out of the house Saturday and went shopping at Target to have groceries for the week.

Ice Skating

Last weekend Kennedy was invited to an ice skating birthday party. Burke & I did not know how she would do but she surprised us and loved it. They let them take chairs out on the ice to balance. Kennedy was able to go a few steps without the chair and skate.  It was very cold in the place but we were prepared and dressed warm.
